In my Grandmother’s pearls….only my grandmother was slightly different from your typical Nana!!!! Mine was this tiny southern Kentucky woman who ALWAYS wore gold lame, a hat,red lipstick and Keds sneakers… Grandma Bernadine was the most fascinating woman you came across, her stories about dating Peter Fonda during Easy Rider would amaze you, her purple velvet jumpsuits would leave you envious and her sailor’s mouth would amuse you!!! My love for fashion and style comes from her, I remember when I was little(7 or so) I was over her house and I was wearing a shirt that had that elastic at the top, all girls were wearing this shirt above their shoulders but my grandma insisted that it would look better off the shoulders for a more (sexy)look…bahahahahaa. She was right but completely “ungrandma” like!! This outfit is a very Bernie look…..she would for wear this look for sure roaming around downtown passing out cookies and cigarettes to homeless people!
This vintage coat is my favorite pieces in my wardrobe, It goes with everything and I have linked some great faux ones too. A great fur coat whether its real or faux is one of the best fashion accessories that will carry your wardrobe through the winter. Any outfit will be set off once you throw a fur on!!
Sneakers are still on major trend this season and showing strong for spring as well…high tops are always funky and fun, I personally have always LOVED shoes and sneakers is just another extension of that.
I am really obsessed with this sweatshirt dress..what’s not to love??? Its’s Grey and goes with everything. The perfect”mom” outfit and easy to throw on when you are racing out the door. The one I have on is a bit of an investment but I have linked a great one from the GAP that is so reasonable and under 50 bucks!!!
Starting my sunday now with kiddos and spelling words and folding laundry , maybe if I put on this fur coat I will feel better about folding all this laundry!!! Haha
