This bridal shower was done for a beautiful bride that was born and raised on the West Coast but fell in love in New York City—the clients wanted the shower to reflect the modern sleek city with a fun flirty touch. FLOWERS FLOWERS and more FLOWERS was the one of the only requests that the client had so I wanted to over saturate the table scapes with over 10 arrangements on each of the 3 six foot rectangular tables. I wanted to include a series of different patterned vases that would give the shower a very hip updated vibe. Sometimes a clear square vase can be just that (square)!
Linens are also the easiest way to give your party a signature look. Sometimes your local party rental company might not have different patterns of tablecloths and napkins that suite your taste, so I always make my own from fabric I have found at fabric stores and even ETSY is a good resource….DON’T feel intimidated if you don’t know how to sew either. You can just buy 4 or 5 yards of fabric for every 6 foot table in any pattern you want and just hot glue the edges to create a finished seam. Then hang it over a larger color coordinated table cloth that is rented, it really sets the look for the entire party. This can be done for napkins as well!
Make sure to pull all your colors in every detail of the party …from the linens to the flowers to the flatware and glassware. These colors were black, gold and pink and I put it everywhere that guest would be congregating. I also love adding personal touches that are reflective of the client- these pink New York Seltzer soda waters were really cute at each place setting representing the NYC where the clients fell in love and currently reside.
Champagne Bar! Every bride wants a Champagne bar — well every woman does too actually! Adding height elements is very import to your feature table, it gives it dimension and gives the table a more cohesive look. Things in numbers are your friends….bowls, decanters, vases and finishing nic naks make the look refined and thought out.
SIGNAGE…… I believe every party needs to have a few signs that are informative to guest and can also add pretty decor. This black one is a chalk board sign found at home depot very inexpensively. I hot glued these fresh flowers on the sign the day of the party . It is very easy and once you start it takes less than an hour.
